The majority of Mouchel’s work outside the United Kingdom involves contracts in the Gulf States and the Irish Republic.
We provide the full spectrum of our services in each of these markets, although currently the focus is on projects rather than managed services. Future growth is likely to come from exploiting the managed services markets in each of these areas.
In the Gulf focus is on three principal markets in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, where the oil industry has provided the very substantial funds needed for investment in major infrastructure.
This includes mixed use real estate development to support leisure and tourism together with a population influx from Asia and other parts of the world. Projects planned or under way in these three markets total US$ 700bn.
The vast majority of our work is the design and supervision of infrastructure works; including marine works, roads, and utilities. Increasingly our role is extending into programme and project management and we are beginning to undertake managed services for new municipalities.
