Graduates & apprentices

We recognise the value of taking people on early in their careers and seek to attract ambitious graduates and apprentices to join our business in a variety of roles.

We are a proud member of the 5% Club, a campaign focused on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices and graduates into the UK workforce. By joining the club, we are committed to ensuring that 5% of our UK workforce are apprentices, graduates or sponsored students on structured programmes within the next five years.

By offering a range of exciting programmes designed to help give graduates and apprentices the best start we also encourage our people to improve themselves throughout their careers – either through gaining technical qualifications or by learning and developing new skills.

We regularly recruit highways, structural, electrical, environmental and mechanical engineers and transport planners to join us at graduate level. With such a diverse portfolio of projects, we also want to hear from people with more subject-specific qualifications in areas such as ecology, politics and geography.

In return, our graduates will receive what they need to succeed in our business from expert mentoring to in-house training opportunities.
