Our policy and commitments

Mouchel acknowledges that sustainability is about living within our social, economic and environmental limits, and the Group is committed to taking responsibility for its actions both in the short- and long-term.

Our approach to sustainability is determined by the needs of our stakeholders – clients, staff and the communities we serve - and is structured around the following commitments to these groups:

MarketplaceMarketplace
In a marketplace where sustainability is increasingly seen as a differentiator, Mouchel will evolve its multidisciplinary approach to help influence stakeholder attitudes, ensuring that sustainability is a key consideration across all projects and services it delivers. In order to do this it must:

  • exceed clients’ expectations, developing long-term relationships with them that enable it to gain a better understanding of their wider sustainability goals;

  • look for efficiencies in the way services are delivered, focusing on innovative solutions that help clients achieve value for money; and

  • work with partners and suppliers who share Mouchel’s values, using the breadth and depth of these collaborations to find quicker, cheaper, safer and better ways to deliver services to clients.

People-and-communities People and communities
The health and wellbeing of Mouchel’s staff and of the communities it serves is a top priority. It is important to the Group’s success that it engages fully with these groups so that it understands their needs and aspirations. In order to do this Mouchel must:

  • create a safe working environment, where diversity is appreciated and a healthy work-life balance is supported;

  • attract and retain the best workforce, providing employees with engaging and rewarding careers; and

  • invest in the communities it serves; supporting employees in giving something back through volunteering and fundraising.

Environment iconEnvironment
Mouchel seeks to limit the damage its activities have on the environment and works with clients to help manage and reduce their environmental impacts and risks. In order to do this Mouchel must:

  • reduce its own carbon emissions, identifying carbon savings within the projects and services it helps clients to deliver;

  • eliminate waste from its own and clients’ operations; and

  • ensure that the products and services needed to run its businesses are sourced responsibly, opting for those with lower sustainability impacts.
