Carbon disclosure - going beyond our obligations

The Government's Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme enforces mandatory carbon cap and trade legislation on large organisations and public sector organisations across the UK.

While Mouchel does not qualify as a full participant under CRC, many of its clients do and it is committed to helping them to develop low-carbon solutions.

In September 2010, Mouchel made a full 'information disclosure' under the regulations, stating a total of 2,265 MWh of electricity usage through half-hourly electricity meters - well below the threshold of 6,000 MWh for organisations which participate fully.

Although the Group does not anticipate further obligations under the CRC in the near future, it continues to monitor implementation of these regulations in order to identify any changes to the inclusion criteria.
