Transport modelling

We develop strategic, multi-modal and micro simulation models that aid transport planning for a variety of clients using most of the common software packages. The models are used in the examination of specific proposals or to provide tools for the development of wide area transport packages

The services we provide include land use modelling, strategic (SATURN) modelling, multi-modal (Cube Voyager) modelling, micro-simulation (VISSIM and Paramics) modelling, accessibility (Accession) modelling, and junction (Oscady, Transyt, Arcady, Picady) modelling

We undertake initial Transportation Planning and Modelling work for a wide range of proposals at the very outset of their life cycle. Our involvement with clients in the early development and justification stages of proposals allows us to lever in wider Mouchel expertise in the form of engineering, technology and other functions.

We work in close partnership with our clients to ensure that our study and modelling outputs meet their intended requirements, but informed by the particular skills and local knowledge that they have.

We keep abreast of the latest developments in transport modelling, being at the cutting edge of work with our involvement in projects such as the Shropshire Transport Innovation Fund and our work on Thames Gateway.
