The Traffic Regulation Order team, based at Welwyn Garden City, provide a full range of services in relation to the drafting and implementation of Traffic Regulation Orders

Our Team
We have a strong TRO team with a comprehensive knowledge in the Traffic Regulation Order legislative field. It is comprised of experienced Order drafters who have specialised in this field and who have undertaken further specialist training. This has lead to the team developing into the only consultancy team who currently carry out such a function on behalf of a Highway Authority in the Country.

The TRO Team Manager has written the Hertfordshire Highways TRO Guidelines Manual and has also provided TRO Training nationally through the British Parking Association. Hertfordshire County Council is the principal client for the team but work can and is undertaken for other clients.

Our services
The drafting and implementation of Traffic Regulation Orders is a specialist role within the field of Highway Law. The team are able to work on all aspects of Traffic Order implementation and can carry out the entire function on behalf of a Highway Authority. The scope of work covers all types of Traffic

Order and includes:

· receiving and vetting applications.
· drafting proposals.
· arranging advertising of proposals.
· dealing with the Statutory TRO process.
· ensuring Highway Authority compliance with Regulations to minimise litigation.
· maintaining TRO records.
· providing a TRO research and advice service.
· providing TRO Training
