We offer a very wide range of safety and road safety services. We are leaders in the field of providing safety reports for managed motorway schemes and supporting the Highways Agency with the development of their project safety risk management system. We offer specialist road safety investigation, road safety advice (to clients/design teams), road safety audits, data collection, design and education services for local authorities and the Highways Agency.
Our services include:
Project safety risk management - this focuses on providing the necessary assurance that schemes on the road network are operated implemented with an appropriate level of safety assessment. We have been instrumental in the development of an appropriate and targeted approach that encompasses the travelling public and the workforce.
Road safety investigation and advice - this is a traditional investigation design and education services for local authorities and the Highways Agency, for both urban and high-speed roads.
Road safety audits - we provide specialist road safety audits, non-motorised user audits andaccessibility audits. These audits aim to ensure that all highways schemes operate as safely as practicable and schemes consider the safety of all road users, especially vulnerable road users. This aspect helps our clients to minimise the risk of increased accident numbers and severity by producing safer designs. Non-motorised user (NMU) audits encourage the consideration of the needs of non-motorised users in all highway schemes.
Occupational and project safety - this concerns how heath and safety legislation affects an individual and people as a whole. We help to instil a culture of behavioural safety within an organisation so that 'safety first' becomes 'second nature'. This area of work includes risk assessments for specific activities such as working on the carriageway.
Our work encompasses accident investigation and analysis; identification of remedial measures;preliminary and detailed design; consultation; site supervision; road safety training; educationand publicity; safe routes to schools, road safety audits, non motorised user audits, accessibility audits and working with key safety specialists (internal and external) to develop safety strategies for individual projects.
CDM-C and CDM services - this area focuses on the important issues surrounding the correctimplementation of legislation in this area. We provide services for ensuring that any project incorporating construction and/or maintenance are managed in such a way that the risks associatedwith either aspect are suitably managed. We provide fully understandable and deliverable CDM services and targeted training to meet all aspects of the construction design and management regulations
