Rail freight
We provide initial site assessment, operational impact assessment, feasibility, masterplanning, environmental assessment, detailed design, operability study, and contract management of rail freight facilities.
Our in-depth knowledge means we can provide advice on the key elements that need to be addressed in Rail Freight projects, including: interface with the rail network (train paths, etc); goods types (container/palletised and so on); and freight handling (RMGs/reachstackers); and end users, delivery and dwell times.
We have a wealth of rail freight experience, ranging from multi-road channel-tunnel connected facilities in difficult brownfield sites through to the assessment of the implications of opening up new routes for freight.
Because of our multi-disciplinary capability, not only can we address the operational rail aspects, we can also cover such elements as traffic planning and brownfield site implications totally in-house.
At the planning stage, through our specialist division LandAspects, we can provide support and guidance for delivery of the project through the Transport and Works Act.
