Managed motorways/dynamic highways

Our team focus on getting the best out of the existing highway infrastructure by easing congestion; increasing the reliability of journey times, responding faster to incidents; and reducing clear-up times. By using the services we offer, this aim can be realised in a sustainable way without having to resort to the costly process of widening a highway. On a motorway this will normally mean the provision of operational regimes supported by technology to enable the dynamic use of the hard shoulder when additional capacity is required.  A similar concept can equally be applied to other types of highway called 'dynamic highways'.

An operationally led approach to making the best use out of existing assets.  We provide all aspects of consultancy; from feasibility studies and operational/options assessment, safety assessments, detailed design, system design, control room design, construction supervision/contract administration, commissioning and project/programme management.
