Air quality

Mouchel has an established team of air quality consultants with extensive experience in undertaking qualitative and quantitative assessments of air quality and odour. The team offers a wide range of modelling, monitoring and consulting capabilities.

We provide: advanced dispersion modelling of linear (roads) and point (industrial) emission sources; pollutant concentration mapping; monitoring of ambient pollutant concentrations; and establishment of air quality monitoring networks.

We undertake a wide range of assessments, including: Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) and Review and Assessment; PPC and Regulatory Assessment; Odour Assessment and Control; and Regional Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Assessment.

We can also provide Design Manuals for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) Screening Assessments, as well as Strategic Road Transport Assessments and Transport Analysis Guidance Reports (WebTAG).

Our team members include Chartered Environmentalists (CEnv), and members of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM), the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IEnvSc) and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA)

Our In-house advanced dispersion models include ADMS-Roads and ADMS 3.3. We carry out in-house odour sampling using Dynamic Dilution Olfactometry, in-house dust soiling analysis using the Rendel Dust Deposition meter, and in-house directional dust monitoring using Dustscan™.
