Payroll services

In payroll services we operate a virtual centre of excellence model producing 1.2 million payslips per year on a leading SAP infrastructure from our offices in Lincoln, Middlesbrough and Milton Keynes. Our dedicated and experienced employees maintain the pay and organisational structures for more than 100,000 public sector employees every month to such diverse and complex clients as county councils, fire and police services, schools, universities and housing associations. Mouchel is one of the largest providers of fully managed and bureau payroll services to public sector organisations in the UK.

We offer:

1) Managed and outsourced payroll services:

  • Data input and management for all starters, leavers and changes and all other information relating to employees payment

  • Data processing, checking and BACS processing

  • Statutory and occupational sick and maternity pay

  • Produce and deliver payslips, P45s, P46s, P11Ds, P35s, P14s and P60s

  • PAYE and National Insurance (NI) deductions and net pay calculations

  • Year-end reconciliation with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and liaison with Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)

  • Helpdesk for all employees' queries

2) Bureau payroll services:

  • Host and maintain a secure shared service SAP environment for our clients to input andmanage all information relating to employees payment. Our control team then provides back-end processing for payroll including:
     - Checking and BACS processing
     - Produce and deliver payslips, P45s, P46s, P11Ds, P35s, P14s and P60s
     - PAYE and NI deductions and net pay calculations
     - Year-end reconciliation with HMRC and liaison with DWP
     - Helpdesk for all payroll employees¿ queries
     - SAP helpdesk for all systems and access queries

3) Fully outsourced payroll services:

  • TUPE employees into our virtual centre of excellence

  • Deliver most services on site

  • Economies of scale in other areas

  • Support and management to improve efficiencies and lower cost to business
