EIA (environmental impact assessment)

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and the associated Environmental Statements are completed to meet the requirements of European Community legislation and in accordance with local, national and international standards and agreements.

The purpose of an EIA is to identify and mitigate against the significant environmental impacts of development.

In undertaking environmental assessments, we provide a definition of project requirements, baseline studies of all environmental media, data analysis and impact prediction and mitigation.

We also offer consultation with statutory authorities, advice on mitigation, design to meet legislative requirements. We prepare environmental statements, and prepare and implement environmental management plans, as well as providing Expert Witness at Public Inquiry.

Our specialist team is highly experienced in the appraisal of the environmental effects of civil engineering and development projects throughout the world.

The company has developed and executed designs to limit or mitigate potential adverse impacts and to enhance environmental benefits of a wide variety of schemes.

Our in-house staff provide specialist inputs for key elements of EIA including landscape, ecology, air quality, water quality, noise and vibration, consultation, and when necessary, expert witness and support at Public Inquiry.

Environmental Statements are completed by experienced EIA project managers.

As part of the EIA process we plan mitigation and subsequently provide a monitoring and/or auditing service during and post-construction.
