Highway engineering (Ireland)

Mouchel has been working in Ireland for over 20 years for Roads Service, Local Authorities and the National Roads Authority on major trunk road and motorway commissions.  In addition the team provide support to other sectors of Mouchel providing infrastructure design and supervision to private developments, ports and public realm projects. We also offer Technical Advisor and call-off support services to DBFO Contracts.

We offer our clients a ‘one stop shop’ providing a full multidisciplinary service of transport related design services through bespoke solutions and services. We provide infrastructure services from feasibility and conceptual design, through detailed design and procurement advice, to site supervision and asset operation, including expert witness at Public Inquiry/ Oral Hearing and statutory procedures/ planning.

We focus on understanding our client's business drivers and objectives, ensuring a commitment to innovative, cost-effective and sustainable solutions. We offer flexibility in resource levels, and can draw on specialist skills available in the wider Mouchel business including traffic and environmental assessment services.

Our Projects

 Following the success of the A1-N1 Newry Dundalk Link Road, a unique cross-border initiative, our major projects include; M17 Galway – Tuam improvement, A4 Dungannon to Ballygawley and, our most recent project the A5 Western Transport Corridor an 88km scheme to dual the A5 from Derry City to the border at Auhnacloy.

Other projects currently being delivered include; N8 Fermoy to Mitchelstown, N6 Kinnegad to Athlone, A31 Magherafelt Bypass, A29 Cookstown Bypass, A28 and A7 Overtaking Schemes, Armagh East Link, and Lurgan Gilford Road Link.  We are also providing infrastructure support for Victoria Terminal 4 Project, NI Science Park, and Belfast Public Realm and Lifford Public Realm.
