Mouchel’s Maritime team has been delivering services to the sector for more than 100 years. We can trace our maritime heritage right back to 1905, when we were appointed to design a jetty and granary at the Royal Victoria Dock.
Since then, we have been involved in some of the most high-profile maritime schemes both in the UK and overseas. We designed the Mulberry harbours, which were used extensively during the allied invasion of Normandy in World War II; and, more recently, we have won an award for our design of the Grimsby River Port Terminal. In the Middle East, we have played key roles in the Ras Laffan Port in Qatar (at the time the largest port development in the world), numerous port and coastal developments in Kuwait, and the stabilisation of 3km of coastline in Dubai.
Today, Mouchel’s maritime services have global reach: we are actively engaged in the delivery of these services regionally, nationally, and internationally. We have a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors, including the largest asset operators, developers and regulators.
Our dedicated maritime team, working together with the wider highways, water and environment businesses, is as equipped to deliver services to support large infrastructure projects as it is to deliver niche, specialised consultancy services.
We provide to two main areas: the development of new assets and the protection of existing ones. We specialise in the strategic planning, development, design and delivery of maritime civil engineering projects across five core areas:
We are one of the most long-standing and experienced providers of maritime services in the world. We pride ourselves on our ability to draw on our depth of capability and knowledge to help our clients realise maximum benefit from their maritime assets.
