Where next for schools

Where next for schools?

“Where next for Schools?”, a dinner debate organised by Mouchel’s Management Consulting division and Govnet Communications, was held on Tuesday 13 October.

In the run up to the next election, education promises to be at the forefront of the political debate.

Whilst the two major parties have committed to the continuation of the academies programme, there is less clarity on other models for schools governance funding and the role of technology. Coupled with a potential reduction in capital investment in schools, the time is right for a robust discussion of what schools are, what we want from them and who governs them.

This lively debate kicked off with five national and international speakers. In turn, they spoke about the effect on schools and our young people.
