The Group’s Management Consulting business provides professional services spanning all our markets in areas of business, including transformation, performance improvement, efficiency, cost reduction, and managed services. Clients work in local and central government organisations, health, education, transport and utilities.

Representing 6% of Group revenue, this business stream generated revenue of £33m, down 44% on FY2010.

Outlook

  • Impact of Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) on budgets has severely impacted this market

  • Transformational capability focused on supporting our local government partnerships

  • External consulting market will continue to be difficult but revenue streams remain strong from core contracts and market channels (e.g. Centre for Workforce Intelligence (DoH), Mouchel Consortium)
