In the Middle East, where Mouchel has been based for more than 30 years, we focus on the design and supervision of infrastructure works; primarily highways, but also including marine works and major utility projects. Our role is extending into managed services and asset management for new municipalities.
In Saudi Arabia, we are working with the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON) to carry out the concept and detailed design for the infrastructure of two new industrial cities, Jeddah-3 and Sudair. Our selection for the project was based on our track record in the fast-track design of flagship industrial areas.
Mouchel has extensive experience of delivering highway design in the Kingdom, where we have designed more than 2,000km of highway network and more than 50 interchanges. Most recently, we have been awarded a consultancy contract to design and supervise the construction of a series of highways within the Al Riyadh and Eastern Regions.
In Kuwait Mouchel has been responsible for some of the most strategic infrastructure assets in the Emirate. Our office has been open in Kuwait since 1979.
Our first highways maintenance contract in the Middle East delivers services across the largest highways area in Abu Dhabi, the Western (Zone 3) Region - a 300km network between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. The appointment strengthens our relationship with the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport.
Mouchel also works in partnership with staff in four municipalities across the United Arab Emirates on a business process re-engineering project. The project aims to achieve best practice across the regions by 2030 and to improve customer service for citizens.
