EnterpriseMouchel are short listed for London Excellence Awards 2010

The EnterpriseMouchel TfL South contract has been short listed as a finalist for the 2010 London Excellence Awards for their work on "Corporate Social Responsibility".

The winners of the awards will be announced at the Celebration of Excellence on the evening of the 19th July at Lords Cricket Ground when EnterpriseMouchel 's TfL South Contract Service Director, Mitesh Solanki will be keeping his fingers crossed that they are among the winners.

"The TfL South Contract has been at the forefront of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda within the Highways Maintenance industry." Explained a delighted Mitesh.

"Through continually demonstrating an ethos of social, environmental and economic responsibility, EM has delivered a number of industry initiatives and innovations that would not have been possible but for us having CSR thoroughly embedded into the culture, management and processes of our organisation.

"As part of the submission, it was demonstrated that throughout EnterpriseMouchel we are striving to understand the expectations of the stakeholders and responding through working in partnership with others to minimize any possible negative impact our actions may have on CSR."

To date EnterpriseMouchel have:

  • Over 90% of all operatives and supervisors have completed or are working towards Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) registration which is an NVQ level 2 or higher.

  • Three office based apprentices have now passed NVQ 2 or 3, and we have a further 11 currently working towards completing Customer Service, Management or IT NVQs.

  • Hosted or presented at 33 community events and have interacted with 55 educational establishments to reach out to over 1500 pupils.

  • We have shown a year-on-year carbon footprint reduction since 2007.

  • We have introduced a "green" fleet of electric, hybrid, LPG, Euro 4/5 and biodiesel vehicles.
