Transactional service

Our tendering and contracting for supplies and services to academies and schools.

Includes the administration of the e-quotations, e-tendering and e-auction process via the e-tendering tool (In-Tend). The service can be used for a simple quotation, a single stage tender (open) or a multi stage tender (restricted) and incorporates both OJEU and non OJEU requirements. This service ensures that the EU procurement and the council rules are complied with and is fully auditable. We also provide a termly newsletter, keeping you up to date with news and new corporate deals, updates on any changes to EU legislation and provide up to the minute access to corporate and framework contracts.

Using a traditional tender service will generate competition within the marketplace and will ensure best value procurement which usually results in lower prices.

We have a dedicated team that will support you in the administration of your tender requirements and are contactable 52 weeks of the year.

This service also opens up several corporate contracts and framework agreements so that academies and schools can take advantage of the volume based prices. Examples of corporate contracts which you may be able to take advantage of include those for:

  • Mobile phones

  • Furniture

  • Stationery

  • Property maintenance

Services available from our transactional team include:

  • Finding the right supplier for you

  • Managing the tender and quotation process, using our e-tendering, e-quotation, and e-auction tools

  • Liaising between the suppliers and the academy or school to make sure that the best service is received from suppliers

  • Managing all correspondence via the 'In-tend' system for your procurement

  • Facilitating the pre-qualification, health and safety, equal opportunities/race relations and finance processes

  • Administering award letters and writing to unsuccessful tenderers
