Education adviser
It is a fundamental belief at Mouchel that design for schools, academies and colleges must be education-lead. Design briefing must start with the education vision and be continually tested against it. We work hard to develop the language between educationalists and designers, so that each can understand the other and designs are developed which support education needs.
Our education advisers are drawn from our in-house team of educationalists. This team is formed of head teachers, ex-local authority assistant directors, educational psychologists and HMI and Ofsted inspectors.
The education adviser will work with the school or academy to review their education vision, to develop the design brief and then to support their engagement with the design team. During design development they will act alongside the school or academy to offer support and to challenge the designers. Our team also have skills in timetabling and curriculum planning and have worked with schools and academies where decant was involved which required the occupation of temporary accommodation.
