Architectural design

Our architects work with schools and colleges to produce creative design solutions which support the education vision of the school, and which create inspiring spaces to learn and teach in. We design new-build schools for the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) and Primary Capital Programmes, but we also develop single new blocks and extensions to deliver targeted or devolved capital works.

We design primary, secondary, special schools and childrens centres, and also specialist facilities such as pupil referral units.

We have strong skills in creating sensitive and innovative refurbishment solutions, and our heritage in education means that we have a very good understanding of the system-build school solutions which form so many of the schools built since the 1950’s.
