Mouchel doesn’t compromise on the health and safety of its people – or of the clients and others with whom we work. Mouchel is a company that puts safety first. Its accident rate is well below industry average and the percentage of reportable accidents was approximately 4¾ percent of the total at year end, also well below the industry average.

Mouchel has re-shaped its safety, health, environment and quality team to create greater accountability amongst those actually delivering our services on the ground. A core central team drives policy and direction on matters of safety, whilst assurance teams in each of Mouchel’s businesses delivers best practice at project level. The company’s integrated management system provides a common framework for managing health and safety in every part of the company, an extensive learning and development programme raises awareness and competency, directors’ safety tours create a mandate for best practice, and an inspection programme monitors compliance.

Mouchel is aligning its practices with the international code on safety management, OHSAS 18001:2007, which will further reinforce the standards that Mouchel expects of its people and suppliers.
