Environment and sustainability

Providing benefit to local communities and the environment – for example through safer roads, better schools, cleaner water and less pollution – is central to the work Mouchel does.

We are committed to conducting our business in an environmentally accountable manner and to complying with all relevant environmental legislation.

We’re also keen to minimise any adverse environmental impacts that may result from our operations.

Our focus over the last year has been on longer term environmental sustainability issues and in establishing our new community involvement policy.

We have:

·         substantially revised our environmental policy, to reflect the increasing size and diversity of Mouchel.

·         carried out our first online travel survey, giving us a wealth of information about the way staff travel and what influences their transport choices. This has informed our sustainable travel plan.

·         developed a new community involvement policy, which has allowed funds raised by staff for local charities to be matched by Mouchel.
