Corporate responsibility
Our approach to Corporate Responsibility is based on an understanding of what is important to the key stakeholder groups that define our purpose:
The communities that we serve expect us to protect and enhance their environment – both through the projects we carry out and through our own operations. We are expected to be a good local employer, helping the local economy and providing further benefits through volunteering and fundraising.
Our clients want to do business with a trusted partner; a Company that keeps its promises and will go the extra mile to deliver high-quality and reliable services to them and their customers.
Our suppliers also expect to work with companies that can be trusted, who are open and honest and who will respect and support them in delivering to the best of their abilities.
Our employees want to work for an organisation they believe in and can feel a part of. They take pride in the organisation and in the work they are doing to support local communities – and want to do more. They want to work in an environment where there is security and stability and where they can have challenging careers with opportunities for personal success. They want to have fun at work too.
Our shareholders want to invest in companies which conduct themselves properly; companies whose performance is strong and predictable and whose reputation is sound.
