Greig Horton

Greig Horton, Mechanical Engineer, Capital Projects, Government Services

Greig Horton, 24, is a mechanical engineer at professional support services group Mouchel.  Greig works in the Capital Projects division, mainly with Oxfordshire County Council on new schools, fire and ambulance station projects.

A chance visit to a recruitment fair led Greig, just out of university having trained as an automotive engineer, to speak to a divisional manager working within Mouchel’s Capital Projects division. At the time Greig was finding it difficult to get work in the motor-sports industry but was keen to use his engineering skills and decided to retrain as a mechanical engineer in building services.
 
Greig's training means he will achieve chartered engineer status in three years' time. Greig says: "It's funny how a visit to a jobs fair can lead you in a completely new direction.  At Mouchel my future is clearly mapped out and it's great to know my hard work will be rewarded with a professional qualification."
