Our selection process

We’ve designed our recruitment and selection processes so that you have the best opportunity to demonstrate that you’re the right person for the job. The methods we use allow us to make fair and objective assessments of each applicant’s merits so that we can be confident we appoint someone who will be able to do the job.

We will assess your application based on the skills and experience you’ve detailed and if they match what we’re looking for we’ll invite you to take part in the selection process.

What about the interview?

We use competency based interviews run by someone who understands the job and what you will need to bring to it.  You’ll be asked questions that allow you to tell us how you’ve worked in similar situations in the past so we can assess how you would perform in the future.  We appreciate that you’ll want to find out about us too, so the interview will allow you time to ask any questions you may have about the job or about working for Mouchel.

Do I have to do a test?

If appropriate to the job, you’ll be asked to complete assessments which might include tests of your verbal or numerical ability, a written exercise or making a presentation. We’ll let you know exactly what you will need to do and give you any additional information that will help you prepare.  Any tests or assessments are always in addition to the competency based interview.
