FAQs
This page details all frequently asked questions with regards to recruitment at Mouchel.
How do I apply?
To search through all our available vacancies, go to our job search pages and use the criteria to filter suitable jobs available. If you are unsure how to use the online application tool click here to view our step by step guide.
How do I submit my online application?
In order to submit an application you should visit our vacancy search pages and then perform a job search. Once you have found a suitable role you can click into this and read through the details before scrolling to the bottom to make your online application. If there are no suitable roles at this time there is also the option to create a job e-mail alert.
You should ensure you complete the three application sections (personal details/CV upload/diversity questions) and must tick the box at the bottom of each section to mark that part as complete. Once all three sections have been marked complete the summary page of your application will show a green tick next to each section and a message will be displayed asking you to submit your application. By clicking on this link your details will be uploaded to our e-recruitment system and you will receive an e-mail confirmation that your application has been successfully received.
What is a competency based interview?
Competency based interviews are used to predict whether a candidate has the right skills and experience required for the role. By asking questions related to competencies required for the role, they give the candidate an opportunity to show how they would demonstrate certain behaviours/skills in the workplace, highlighting how they reacted and dealt with previous situations. Competencies will not only be measured during recruitment but will be part of additional assessment and training you will receive at Mouchel should you be successful.
How will I be notified?
If you are successful at the final stage of the recruitment process you will receive a phone call from the hiring manager. However, prior to this, or should you be unsuccessful at the final stage, correspondence will be via email.
How do I get feedback?
Following your interview, you will be notified via email if you have not been successful. If you would then like feedback please email careers@mouchel.com and we will arrange for the recruiting manager to give you a call to discuss.
Can I submit a speculative CV?
All applications for roles at Mouchel must be made via our online system, we do not accept speculative CVs. Please visit our vacancy search page to view all our available vacancies.
When can I expect to hear?
This will depend on the role being recruited to. Normally, it is within seven days of the vacancy closing but it may be longer should there be a high volume of applicants.
What if I'm a graduate and only want to search for those roles?
If this is the case, you can visit the graduates page to search job opportunities aimed only at graduates.
What if I can't find what I am looking for?
Please visit our vacancy search to go through all our available vacancies. If there is not a suitable position for you to apply for at the moment, please register your email address (at the bottom of the search results page) and we will contact you when vacancies arise that match your search criteria.
