Regulated Industries
We have a high profile in the rail, water, energy and waste sectors. With activities ranging from project management and strategic planning consultancy to civil and structural engineering, we are involved in large projects right across the UK.
Our activities in the rail sector include project management, civil and structural engineering, signaling, customer information systems, property asset management, rolling-stock and train systems, property asset management, rolling-stock and train systems consultancy - as well as strategic asset management modeling.
Within regulated industries, we work at the heart of the industry delivering innovative and totally integrated solutions across this increasingly vital sector.
We pride ourselves on overcoming the challenges confronting our industry, which are among the most formidable faced by society today. We embrace everything from maximising the efficiency of our water supply to minimising carbon emissions into our atmosphere.
In the water sector we're at the forefront in infrastructure maintenance management, strategic and operational planning, and the design and implementation of major capital projects. Our activities range from source to tap (and beyond). This involves us in leakage detection, network modelling, as well as asset management. With much of the UK's water infrastructure more than one hundred years old, there are also plenty of challenges. We’ve also facilitated extensive investment to develop new water technologies.
Our Energy division is just as successful, too. They have a respected track record in both construction project management and consultancy - and have recently won the Energy Institute's Innovation Award for their pioneering work in liquefied gas.
Green and brownfield sites are also receiving the Mouchel treatment. Our environmental expertise allows us to cover all aspects of the development cycle including identification of land ownership, statutory procedures concerned within land purchase, valuation, planning applications, public consultation, environmental impact assessment, identification and treatment of contaminated land, geotechnical investigation and design, topographical surveys, ecology and landscape planning & design.
Comprising almost 300 surveyors, planners, land referencers, geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists and consultants, the environment business boasts and impressive portfolio of projects in the transport, government, regeneration, infrastructure and energy sectors; giving you a wide range of diverse and challenging work.
And in the increasingly high-profile area of waste, we're leading the way in strategic planning consultancy for local authorities - as well as designing and delivering new waste disposal infrastructures.
Our activities in the rail sector include project management, civil and structural engineering, signalling, customer information systems, property asset management, rolling-stock and train systems consultancy - as well as strategic asset management modelling.
