The National Diversity Awards celebrate the achievements of people from underrepresented backgrounds and also recognises contributions made by individuals or groups to diverse communities.

The Diversity Group, an organisation that is regarded as one of the most productive promoters of diversity and equality in Britain developed the concept of the awards. The Diversity Group identified an urgent need for more positive role models to be actively promoted with the aim to empower and inspire the wide breadth of diverse communities within the UK

By sponsoring this award Mouchel aims to celebrate and highlight the truly staggering diversity of talent the UK has to offer.

The National Diversity Awards will be held at the Midland Hotel, Manchester on 21st September 2012.  There are several award categories including positive role model, community organisation and entrepreneurial of excellence awards which will be split into five categories including race, age, disability, gender and LGBT.  Other awards include Diverse Company Award and Lifetime Achievers Award.

The National Diversity Awards are designed to showcase the efforts of those who have demonstrated an outstanding devotion to enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion within today’s society; thus embracing the excellence of all our citizens irrespective or race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability and culture.
